Portable Storage Container Delivery
Most deliveries are seamless and very straightforward but in some cases you will need to make sure that your site is suitable for a container. If you just want to put it in a parking lot, driveway or an open field you shouldn't expect any issues. If you are dealing with tight spaces it can be more complicated.
In general most portable storage containers can be delivered within 1 to 3 days, and often times same day delivery is an option. You should schedule delivery as soon as possible to make sure that you get a time that works with your schedule and the schedule of the delivery truck driver. Delivery usually costs about $99 each way.
Tips to Prepare for Delivery
- Pick Out a Flat Surface - your container will be placed on a flat, firm surface. Driveways, parking lots, compact dirt, firm grass, dirt and gravel are all good options. If the location is not level, blocks may be able to be placed underneath the container to make it level. A level surface is preferred.
- Clear Site of Any Obstacles - make sure there is nothing in the way of the container or the delivery truck before the driver arrives.
- Make Sure There's Room for the Delivery Truck - the truck needs a long straight path to the spot that you will be storing the container. For a 40 ft container you need about a 120 ft path to drop the container and for a 20 ft container you need about 60 ft.
- Watch Out for Overhead Obstacles - the container and truck are about 14 ft tall so you need to make sure that there are no trees, power lines or anything else in the way of the path for the truck.
- Unlock Any Gates or Doors - it's a good idea to be there when the container is delivered, but if you can't be there make sure that there are no locked gates and that the driver will be able to access the drop site.
